Fall 2026 Music Participation Tuition Waiver

Pursuant to SBHE Policy 820, BSC may offer a waiver to BSC to students meeting certain eligibility requirements.

Waiver Details:
1. The waiver amount cannot not exceed $250.00
2. Must submit waiver application by deadline of January 12th.
3. Eligibility is determined prior to the start of the Spring 2026 term
4. Waiver is not renewablea
5. Student is responsible for fees, textbooks, and other costs.
6. Student must be enrolled in courses and making progress toward degree?
7. Student must register for a minimum of nine (9) BSC credit hours for the applicable term.
8. Awards are first-come first-served.

Eligibility Requirements:
1. Applicants must apply and be accepted for admissions.
2. Must submit waiver application by deadline of January 12th.
3. Student must be degree seeking at BSC
4. Student must register for a minimum of nine (9) BSC credit hours for the applicable term.
5. Student must be in an approved BSC Choir or Band Course.
6. Student must demonstrate prior music experience.
7. Student must maintain active participation in Choir or Band through the semester.

Application Process:
1. Waiver application deadline is January 12th.
2. Completed waiver is submitted online and reviewed by Dean of Humanities, Arts, and Sciences.

Selection and Awarding Process:
1. Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences will select applicants based on eligibility criteria.
2. Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences will notify Student Finance to apply waivers.

Withdraws/Revocation:
• Students who withdraw will be subject to the refund policy consistent with NDUS policy 830.2 and will be responsible for any outstanding balance on their student account.

Monitoring:
• Renewal/Continuation of the waiver program will be at the discretion of the Executive VP.
