2026-2027 Prior Learning Assessment Waiver

1. Maximum of 15 Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credits transcribing fee awarded per AAS program within AEAT.
2. The waiver applies to transcribing fee only. Tuition waivers do not include mandatory fees, class fees, books, board, room, insurance, taxes, or any other costs.
3. Waiver applications do not guarantee a waiver. Available waiver amounts are limited, therefore applications will be reviewed along with all eligibility requirements and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for students who meet the criteria of the waiver.
4. Funding is limited and awards are first-come first-served.
5. Students requesting this waiver must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Automation, Energy, or Advanced Technology at BSC.
6. Must apply and be accepted to BSC in an Automation, Energy, or Advanced Technology degree program for the upcoming semester as a degree-seeking student.
7. Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
8. Must submit the waiver application before August 7, 2026 – Fall 2026 and January 8, 2027 – Spring 2027.
9. Must be registered for a minimum of 6 credits.
